Cancer is the fourth Sign of the Zodiac and
corresponds with the stomach, digestive system and breasts.
Being ruled by the Moon, it is the symbol of motherhood and
is the most maternal of all the signs. One of its functions
is beautifully expressed in women and mammals breastfeeding
their young.
Many people who were born during the Cancer period - June
22 to July 22 - or who had this sign rising over the eastern
horizon at the actual hour of birth suffer from digestive
problems, a nervous stomach, pains or cramps in the abdominal
area and even stomach ulcers. If you have a disposition toward
any of these complaints, you probably have a strong planetary
emphasis affecting Cancer, regardless of the actual month
of your birth, and you should maintain a sensible, well-balanced
diet. The actual zodiac position of the Moon and its relationship
to the Sun and the planets plays a vital role in determining
the strength of the digestive system.
Neptune can have a toxic influence because it is related to
poisons and drugs. Therefore, people who were born when Neptune
was in Cancer should be careful of what they eat and drink.
I have known several cases where these people have been unlucky
enough to suffer the ill effects of taking contaminated food
and water. Neptune was in Cancer from mid-1902 until mid-1915
and it will not return to this Sign of the Zodiac until about
the year 2067.
