From
Your Destiny in Numbers by P.N. Scherman |

"Art
is long and Life is fleeting." In these days of haste and
hurry, one cannot afford to waste a moment. Everyone is on the
look-out for cut and dried, brief and sure method to achieve
an end. Hence the student of this ancient science is disgusted
with and distracted from its study if he has to dig deep to
arrive at results. I have, in the foregoing chapters, put before
my readers a simple and ready reckoner type of work on numerology
for reference regarding their form and future.
The numbers can be tamed by patience and practice, If well chosen
by their users. Those who are desirous of achieving good results
in spite of their destiny, as it is often called, can curb it
by doing things of importance in a suitable manner or by choosing
favourable moments for their performance. |

From
times immemorial, it has been the keenest desire of man to know
the unknown, learn the intricate and to discover the concealed.
Sages and Saints from the dawn of civilization have reached
and found the secrets of nature and expressed their achievements
in various form. The Vedas, the Bible, the Koran and so many
more such invaluable stores of knowledge are the records of
the experience of the great men of this globe. We have ever
drunk from these and quenched our thirst for knowledge. Faith
has been the name of patience to learn from the footprints of
our ancients. The science of study of the future has also been
radiated by generations of men. There is truth in the sayings
and experiences of the sages and that is why we have held great
faith in them. If science could have no practical application
with benefits for human beings, they would not have cared for
it through these centuries, and would not have attracted the
masses from days of yore to the present day. Whatever be the
clime or the country, the faith in this science (yoga, occult,
etc.) has been ample and advocated by princes and peasants,
the rich and the poor, men and women young and old. Numerology
is one of them.
It is the language of the mute, the hidden treasure of the nature
revealed to the wise and the earnest, which the ordinary, common
man cannot readily understand.
One of the secrets of success in life is undoubtedly the ability
to understand and handle other people. An enormous amount of
patience, energy, time and money can be wasted attempting to
get people to do things they are not really able to. |

In occultism where the language could not
be written, these numerical inscribed guidance which the ancients
only knew. The Chaldeans were the formulators who knew this
science but mostly in every scripture of theirs have given
reference to and observation made on Aryan theory and they
took 26 Alphabets and one extra '&" i.e. 27 in all,
which are similar to 27 Nakshatras (elements).
It is another form of advanced mathematics of nature where
all symbols are within the numbers. It is such a short form
that a man can adopt in a short time with a little practice
but patience is the first and the foremost pre-requisite.
One should patiently study the exoteric and esoteric sides
of the numbers and their significance and influence by practical
application which will enable him to know his own faculties
and short-comings so as to adjust himself with nature.
By practical application of "wait and watch" one
can make the best utility of numbers to arrive at a beneficial
result. By having this foreknowledge one can be forewarned
and can save himself from the pitfalls and misfortunes and
be on the safe side. Not only can he tender this service to
himself but also to others. He will know when and where to
till the land and lay hands to a particular work.
By having this knowledge one can make the best selection e.
g. for profession, direction, marriage partner, country, city,
house, etc. and can apply in rearing up his career as well
as of his coming generation by befitting them in the fittest
way so that he can make life more successful.
It will give confidence and shall make him more optimistic,
knowing the strength in him. It will give him the correct
application of numbers and its virtues. It is just like a
man who, being in search of pearls, must go to the seas and
not to the rivers. Suppose you intend, fixing electric bulbs
in your house, then you need guidance, e. g. dining room,
drawing room, kitchen and bath where you require bulbs of
different powers, Now if you fix the bulbs of bath room in
the dining room and of the drawing room in the kitchen or
do something topsy- turvy, you will be called inexperienced
and moreover, the purpose, too will not be served. The knowledge
of numerology will teach the best possible utility of your
potentiality in life, in case you actually wish to live.
All these sciences are for the service of humanity and numerology
is one of them. Though it is true that everybody cannot reach
the same proficiency in studying the subject as inherited
capacities differ. It is just like teams of players, playing
matches in the Olympics and only one gets the shield, though
each of the teams of players consists of the same numbers,
yet winner are those who have got higher sides of the environment
and enthusiasm-ethereal vibrations-and the magnitude of concentration
at a focu-ssed strength, makes them win the match.
Since numbers will teach you your power and quality within
yourself, if properly used, it will not only save you from
the pitfalls but will take you ahead in your ambition. You
know your numbers; you sit in a compartment of the train you
are travelling by. If the number of the compartment is in
harmony with that of your, it will undoubtedly give you a
peaceful journey ; on the contrary, if wrongly placed, it
will give an adverse result. Though in your latter case, you
may cover your distance but not so peacefully. In the same
manner, you are to cover your life's journey. If you do not
observe, you, no doubt, will go through your life but with
restraint and friction. On the other hand, knowing your trait
you can enjoy the best fruits of life and can make your life's
journey comfortable.
Prejudiced are those who are jealous of other's success and
instead of clearing the obstacles; in life, they can neither
rise themselves nor can see the rise of others.
Learned John Dryden has rightly said:
|
|
"Errors,
like straws
Upon the surface flow;
He, who would in search of Pearls,
must dive below." |
|
Now to become a successful numerologist,
a man must learn the subject thoroughly and patiently to the
end and apply it for some time, and test each aspect and characteristic
as explained in this volume for himself as well as for others.
He must have the patience to study the subject from a to z
before it is thoroughly mastered by him. He can make a chart
of his life with the help of numbers and see how far it helps
him in his way. No doubt in the beginning he will commit small
mistakes and will experience ups and downs, but he must have
the patience of overcoming his difficulties. In case of a
failure, he must try to amend himself and can take it next
time for his future guidance which he can do with the help
of numbers.
"Numerology may serve as a candle to the gropers in the
dark on their journey of life. Let the unseeing see when there
is time to see, for, of what avail shall the eyes be when
they have failed to guide you against a danger."
